Thank you for purchasing Splent WordPress Theme! In this document you will find the latest information on how to install, manage and update your theme, as well as create content, install plugins, import Demo data and more. If you like our theme and want to support us kindly rate it in your Downloads section.

Installation

Once you purchase the Splent WordPress Theme, exclusively available at Themeforest, you can download the theme package. After you UnZIP the package you will find the theme file in it - splent.zip. There are 2 ways to install your theme, both are described step by step below.

Installation via WordPress

Step 1: Login to your WordPress Dashboard

Step 2: Go to Appearance > Themes. Click the Add New button or Add new theme link. (check screenshot below)

Step 3: Click on the Upload Theme button. Locate "splent.zip" and click Install Now.

Step 4: Click on the Activate button to activate Splent. Congratulations, you have now activated Splent! You can now proceed with Splent's Plugin Installation.

Installation via FTP

Step 1: Log into your Hosting server using an FTP client (like FileZilla or WinSCP).

Step 2: Locate "splent.zip" that you found in your ThemeForest Package and unzip it somewhere on your hard drive. Once it is unzipped it will look like a folder named 'alea' with all theme files in it.

Step 3: Locate your WordPress installation and upload the theme directory 'alea' (you unzipped in the previous step) into ../wp-content/themes/ in your WordPress installation.

Step 4: Click on the Activate button to activate Alea. Congratulations, you have now activated Alea! You can now proceed with Alea's Plugin Installation.

Plugins Installation

Once your theme is installed navigate to the Splent Menu and click on the Plugins option. Splent offers the use of these three plugins:

Zanaya: Zanaya builder is Premium Scripts' proprietary front-end page builder. Featuring a plethora of custom made design tools it enables users to customize every aspect of the template with incredible ease and detail. From navigation, text, forms, image editing, animation sequencing, responsive behavior, drag and drop building and much more - all in real time. Please reffer to the Zanaya Builder Documentation for features and step-by-step tutorials.

WooCommerce: Splent comes with beautiful templates that support WooCommerce. If you wish to operate an e-commerce store please install WooCommerce. Refer to the WooCommerce documentations for support.

Demo Import

A quick and easy way to hit the ground running is importing a demo and tweaking it to your needs.

Once you click the import button you'll see a progress screen giving you a clear indication of the import process. The importer can resume uncompleted imports giving you complete control over the content you want to import.

Favicon Upload

Step 1: go to Appearance > Costumize.

Step 2: Click on Site Identity > Select Image (under the "Site Icon" section).

Step 3: Upload your favicon and crop if needed.

Theme Layout

Splent offers several theme layouts that can be accessed easily through the Splent > Theme Options

Layout: Select between Boxed or Wide layout sitewide. You may change the layout of every page or post individually when editing it.

Left to Right: if your website is in Hebrew or Arabic switch to the Right to Left option.

Theme Colors

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on Colors to set up the Theme colors.

Skin: Splent offers 2 pre-designed skin colors that can provide a starting point for your theme design.

Headings Color: This color will impact all your H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 and H6 elements. Each element can then be changed individually using the Zanaya front end builder.

Body Text Color: This color will impact all your P and Small elements. Each element can then be changed individually using the Zanaya front end builder.

Primary Color: This color will impact various accent colors such as of buttons, dividers, links and more. Each element can be changed individually using the Zanaya front end builder.

Secondary Color:If you use gradient colors the secondary color will appear in backgrounds, buttons and everywhere gradient color is utilized. This too can be changed individually using the Zanaya front end builder.

Theme blog page

Once you have created/imported some Posts to your WordPress installation you can select one of the pages to be your Blog Page (the Page that will list all your Post in the default Alea Blog style).

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on Blog Page.

Single Post Setting

Splent allows you to select the settings of your single post and select what to show/hide on a single post page.

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on Single Post.

Google Map Settings

To learn more about obtaining a Google Map Key visit Google Maps Platform.

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on Google Map.

Step 3: Enter the credentials you got from Google.

WooCommerce Settings

You need to have the WooCommerce plugin installed. Splent's WooCommerce settings allows you to determine the design of your shop.

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on WooCommerce.

Reset Settings

Splent conveniently allows you to reset all your changes to the default theme's setting. Please note that post meta will not be effected by the reset.

Step 1: Go to Splent > Theme Options

Step 2: Click on Reset Setting.

Individual Post Setting

With Splent you can change the setting of an individual post. The individual post setting allows you to override the general settings that are under the "Theme Setting" for the specific post.

Step 1: Go to Posts > Add New OR Posts > All Posts > Edit

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the post.

Step 3: Scroll to the Splent Post Options

Post Layout

Step 4: Click on Layout

Slider Selec the Revolution Slider you wish to use on the post.

Slider Position Select whether you wish the slider to be before or after the nav bar.

Post Layout Selec from 6 different post layouts.

Content Area Width Full width or Boxed

Content Area Margins The post area has default 50px top and bottom margins. You can remove them by turning this off.

Post Meta

The post meta lets you select what post meta you want to show / hide on this individual post.

Post Menu

Menu Select which menu you wish to display. Here is how you setup a new menu in WordPress.

You may wish to display a different menu in a specific post. This feature is perfect for landing pages.

Menu: Hide / show the menu throughout the site.

Sticky nav: Select whether the website will have a sticky nav or regular nav.

Search: Show / Hide search in the nav bar.

Cart Show / Hide the cart in the nav bar. Note: WooCommerce plugin required for shopping cart support.

Nav Breakpoint Select the nav collapse breakpoint. Select "Always collapsed" if you want to have a mobile nav at all times.

Style Preset Select the nav-bar style you wish to use.

Post Breadcrumbs

Turn the breadcrumbs on and off. The breadcrumbs design is the one you selected under the Theme Settings.

Post Sidebar

Step 1: Select whether to display a sidebar on the post and whether it will be on the left or right side.

Post Footer

Splent provides you the flexibility to display the footer, just the top widget part, or just the bottom copyright section.

Post Reset

If you would like to disregard your changes and return to the theme's default setting use the Post Reset option.

Post Slider

Splent allows you to turn the featured image to a slider.

Step 1: Upload your featured image.

Step 2: Use the 2nd through 5th featured image fields to upload up to 5 featured images.

Post Slider

Splent allows you to turn the featured image to a video.

Step 1: paste the video URL in the Video Url field.

Step 2: If you upload a featured image the video will appear as part of a slider.

Individual Page Setting

With Splent you can change the setting of an individual page. The individual page setting allows you to override the general settings that are under the "Theme Setting" for the specific page.

Step 1: Go to Pages > Add New OR Pages > All Pages > Edit

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Scroll to the Splent Page Options

Step 4: Click on Layout
